In 1975, led by Richard Michael Abraham, the mission of The REDI Foundation, a Massachusetts Non-Profit Research and Educational Institute, was to gain the knowledge and experience of the presidents of the Country’s leading real estate development firms and to share this knowledge with emerging developers.

The mission was to empower emerging developers to learn this knowledge and to return to their neighborhoods and communities and to professionally develop all types of real estate development projects, as well as inner city development, affordable housing, in the interest of the public.

To achieve this mission, REDI sponsored 124 Real Estate Development Seminars across the United States. More than 40,000 have attended these Seminars or purchased the Online Certification Real Estate Development Course and are official REDI Members.

At these Seminars, Mr. Abraham, REDI’s Founder, along with the presidents of 300 of the Country’s most respected development firms, shared their knowledge, amassing vast amounts of nuts and bolts knowledge on every conceivable real estate development subject.

Some of the developers joining Mr. Abraham at these Seminars include Kaufman and Broad, Trammell Crow, Pulte Homes, Corcoran Jennison, Spaulding and Slye, American Nevada Company, Greystone Group, Maui Land and Pineapple Company, Barratt-American, Farnsworth Development, Druker Company, New England Development, John D. REDI has also served in the public tradition and has assisted Harvard University, MIT, Wharton, New York University, National Real Estate Board, New York Management Center, National Institute of Real Estate Management to further their educational programs in real estate.
